Massachusetts House Budget Proposes Extended Liquor License Hours for Casinos

The Massachusetts House of Representatives recently released its budget for Fiscal Year 2018. Embedded in the outside sections, Section 69, is a change to the alcoholic beverage licensing laws for casinos (G.L. c. 23K, Section 26) that would allow patrons actively gambling to continue drinking through 4:00 AM. Current regulations in both casinos and licensees under G.L. 138, Section 12 (bars, restaurants, etc.) limit serving hours until 2:00 AM. Oh, and you can start back up a few hours later at 8:00 AM, which is already on the books. So even though your losing all your money, at least you can continue getting drunk.
